Stories that get published. Programs that get remembered.

Zou Zou Media House is an independent Canadian publisher and cultural programming company based in Mississauga, ON. We bring books into the world, and we bring books into communities.

We publish the stories that often get left behind.

Too many stories never make it out of someone's thoughts. The author who couldn't find a publisher who understood her. The grandmother whose memories live only in her memory. The child who's never seen herself on a page.

We built Zou Zou Media House to change that. Every book we publish, every program we deliver, and every stop the Bookmobile makes is rooted in the same belief: culture is carried through story, and stories are worth keeping.

  • The Amazing Zoe

An award recognized children's book series about a little girl with a very big heart, with free educator resources and school visits

Books we’ve brought into the world.

Memoirs, children’s books, anthologies and legacy collections. Every one of them shaped with an author who had a story that mattered and no clear way to publish it.

Published books include children’s fiction, memoir and community anthology.

Every book here belongs to its author. We handle the work. They keep the rights.

That sentence answers the number one fear an indie author has about approaching a publisher, and answering it before they ask is worth more than any adjective on the page.

THE BESTSELLING CHILDREN'S SERIES LOVED FROM COAST TO COAST.

Meet the Amazing Zoe

Zoe is a little girl with a very big heart, and she's the reason many children see themselves in a book for the first time. The 5-star rated series, by Favorite Readers, follows Zoe through friendship, family, grief and her grandmother's memory box, with stories that hold hard things gently.

Every title comes with free educator resources, and Zoe travels! Book a school visit, and the author comes with her.

Now booking Fall and Winter 2026 cohorts.

Memoirs and Memories

Every senior carries a story worth keeping. Memoirs and Memories is a facilitated legacy writing program for seniors and caregivers, delivered in six-week and twelve-week formats. Participants write up to 5,000+ words each, and the group finishes with a professionally published anthology bearing their names on the cover.

We also offer a three-session introductory series for organizations testing the format for the first time.

Currently delivered at Villa Charities. Now accepting bookings from senior centres, hospice organizations, retirement residences and long-term care partners.

Group writing programs from $3,950.

It arrives, it opens, and something shifts

Read-alouds, African drumming, dance, creative writing and arts activities, delivered directly from a vehicle that turns heads before a single book is opened.

Booked by schools, libraries, festivals, corporate wellness days and private celebrations across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

Winner of the 2025 Diamond Award for Best Summer Event at the Mississauga People's Choice Awards.

CANADA'S FIRST ARTS AND CULTURE BOOKMOBILE

What partners and authors say.

A note from our Founder

I started Zou Zou Media House because too many stories were being lost. The author who couldn't find a publisher who understood her. The grandmother whose memories lived only in her head. The child who never saw herself on a page.

Everything we build here is an answer to that. Books, programs, a bookmobile that pulls up to your school and opens its doors. Different formats, one purpose. Make sure the story survives
