A Program Built for Schools. Delivered With Care.
Our facilitators come to you with all materials, lesson plans, and cultural content ready. Ages Pre-K through Grade 6. Monday through Thursday sessions. $200 per session, all art materials included. Currently delivered at five GTA partner sites in partnership with Villa Charities.
Program Themes (5-Week Cycle):
Week 1: Lines, Shapes, and Colour — Foundational visual art elements through exploration and play.
Week 2: Cultural Identity — Artwork rooted in personal and cultural stories.
Week 3: Memory and Heritage — Art inspired by family, community, and lived experience.
Week 4: Pattern and Nature — Pattern-making across cultures and traditions.
Week 5: Expressive Faces and Gallery Celebration — Self-portraits and a classroom gallery experience.
Session Flow (Every Session)
Welcome and Theme Introduction: a cultural story or picture book grounds students in the theme
Guided Demonstration: the ZZMH facilitator demonstrates technique step by step
Hands-On Creation: every student creates their own original artwork
Reflection and Gallery Share: students share, name their work, and celebrate each other

Hands-on art-making informed by diverse cultural traditions and personal experience.

Structured Gallery Share where students describe, discuss, and respond to work.

Every theme connects art-making to personal identity, cultural heritage, and community.

Language Curriculum
Read-aloud and discussion support Oral Communication expectations. Reflective sharing supports Writing for a Purpose outcomes.

Every session incorporates diverse art traditions and perspectives, supporting the Ontario Ministry of Education's EDI and Anti-Racism commitments.
Full curriculum alignment documentation available on request. Includes session-by-session expectation mapping by grade level and sample assessment tools.

We work with school boards, individual schools, and community organisations across Ontario. Single-school or multi-site delivery. 5-week program cycles repeatable throughout the school year. School board partnership agreements available for multi-school rollout. All materials, facilitation, and curriculum documentation provided.
