Introducing Canada’s First Culturally-Rich Bookmobile: A Moving Story Hub for All!
Zou Zou Media House proudly launches Canada’s first creative bookmobile of its kind—a vibrant, fully customized mobile literary hub designed to bridge communities through storytelling, literacy, and cultural engagement. More than a bookmobile, this unique initiative is a mobile cultural experience that brings books to life, featuring stories published by Zou Zou Media and spotlighting the voices of Canadian authors across all genres.
Whether rolling into schools, festivals, corporate wellness events, or community gatherings, our mission is simple: to connect Canadians through stories that reflect who we are, where we come from, and the diverse voices that make our nation thrive.

Amplify underrepresented voices in publishing, particularly Black, Indigenous, and diverse Canadian authors
Provide access to books in both urban and underserved areas
Support community events by offering mobile storytelling experiences for children and adults
Celebrate Canadian talent while nurturing the next generation of storytellers

Indie authors, small publishers, and vendors. Priority given to diverse narratives.
Authors/Vendors within Canada are welcome to apply
Small businesses offering book-related merchandise (e.g., journals, candles, tote bags, colouring books).

In short, yes; however, authors/vendors must sign up on a rotating schedule to personally attend and sell their products.
Participating authors/vendors will also have an opportunity to sign up for read-alouds at festivals and community events to help increase engagement. Please note, this is NOT a paid opportunity. Please see the section “school visits” for paid opportunities.

Authors ONLY. This is an exciting opportunity for local authors to participate in schools, summer camps, and corporate events. The total session is 75- minutes.
Authors will participate in a 45- minute segment that will include:
For Children K-5
One Read-aloud session (15-20 min)
One activity based on your book or author talk (15 min)
Q&A (10 min)
The additional time will include members of the Zou Zou Media House team.
For Students 6-12+
Author talk and/or motivational speaking (30-min)
1 activity (15- min)
Q & A (10 -min)
Dance party session (20-minutes)
Authors will have the opportunity to sell their books with order sheets sent to parents/guardians in advance of the presentation or on-site if permitted by the venue.
Vulnerable Persons/Police Check: Authors who wish to participate in school events must have proof of a current vulnerable persons screen.
Compensation to authors starts at $150+

Shipping & Inventory
Vendors must ship or deliver all products to: Please send your request to info@zouzoumedia.co for the delivery address.
If in the Toronto area, scheduled drop-offs can be arranged. Email Valene at info@zouzoumedia.co with the title "Drop Off Request"
All items must be labelled with an ISBN (for books) or product name item number for inventory tracking. Be sure all items are counted with a packing list that includes your contact information, quantity, and cost per item.
Stock Replenishment:
Due to our limited space, we suggest that vendors provide 10 books/merch items per title or item at a time.
• If stock runs low, the Bookmobile will notify the vendor for restocking.

Returns Policy:
In the rare case that items are not sold, books/merch/items must be picked up within 30 days of notification.
• If not collected, the Bookmobile reserves the right to donate or discount the books.
Lost or Stolen Items:
The Zou Zou Media Bookmobile is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Authors/Vendors can choose either of our two plans. Please note there is a minimum of a 30-day commitment. Fees are non-refundable.
Plan A:Early Bird special until June 16. Revenue share 65/35. Vendor receives 65% of the total retail value (before taxes). Bookmobile retains 35%. The plan will change to 60/40 after June 16.
Plan B:Early bird special until June 16. Monthly payments of $250 with a commission of 20% of sales to the Bookmobile. After June 16, the monthly payment will be $300 with a commission of 20% retained by the bookmobile.
Vendor Payout Schedule: Payout to authors and vendors will occur monthly on the 10th of the month. If the 10th falls on a weekend/holiday, payment will be processed on the next business day.
